Taj Mahal

One of the highlight of traveling to India is be able to see the majestic Taj Mahal. I was in grade 2 when I first heard and see this white marble mausoleum on my English textbook and since then it became my dream to be able to see  personally this world heritage site.

The Taj Mahal   was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is widely recognized as “the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage”.

My dream came true when we visited India on December 2011, it was so magical that you can feel everyone’s excitement the moment you enter the gate to the main site.

Taj Mahal is regarded by many as the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Islamic, Persian, Ottoman Turkish and Indian architectural styles.
